   Masters Of Imaging - Lecture

                         

 F.G. Kaye -  Beauty, Fashion, Glamour, Boudoir and Portrait photographer presents:

   "Effective Use of one light: on or off Camera" 

Mr. Kaye will present : "Effective use of one light on or off the Camera." During this lecture he will also discuss good, and bad points of various designs of  flash and umbrella brackets. This will include which unit is best for your application and it's primary use, (hand-held, or a tripod.) He will include important points, and elements about  how to use and modify the various brackets in order to maximize their effectiveness. 

                              (Includes a Live Demonstration)

                

F.G. Kaye, is a professional Beauty, Fashion, Glamour, Boudoir and Portrait photographer who works and resides in Los Angeles. He has been shooting since 1984, when he began his career in Underwater Photography. He received his Associate of Arts (A.A.), degree from Santa Monica City College and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), from California State University of Long Beach. Mr. Kaye has been an active member of the following professional photography organizations: Professional Photographers Association (P.P.A.), American Society of Media Photographers (A.S.M.P.) and All Valley Professional Photographer (A.V.P.P.).  

    He is an active member of the photography community attending photography expositions and workshops in the western half of the United States: P.P.C., Pasadena; P.P.A., San Diego; Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (W.P.P.I.), Las Vegas; San Diego Photography Exposition; and Bagnall Camera Exposition.

    Mr. Kaye has studied extensively with Charles Lewis, Jim Britt, Monte Zucker, Pasqual Bettio, Robert Farber and Frank Cricchio. Through his photography career he has taught at Park La Brea Art Center, Bagnall Camera Exposition and lectured for Masters of Imaging. His lecture topics have included: Exposure, Metering, Lighting, Flash, Strobe and Constant Lighting. 

    During his career he has photographed: Barbara Luna, Actress; Ralph Nader, Consumer Product Investigator, Presidential Candidate and Author; Michael "Mike" Farrell, Writer, Producer, Director and Actor; Eva Gabor, Actress; Loni Anderson, Actress; Girls of GLOW, calendar work for Ken Knotts and Gemini Sound Products.

      My photographic glamour mission statement. It has been said, that, ‘It’s better to look good, than to feel good.’  It is my belief, that by making a woman look good, she will feel better about herself.

      My photo business was developed with the belief that all women want to feel sexy and desirable. I believe that to accomplish this, she must be made up to look, sexy and desirable. My goal is to produce an image of a woman that emotes, these feelings, in her, at the time they are produced and then again, when she views them, days, or years later.

      I love women. I try to understand the curves and shape of a woman’s body, in order to make a statement about the provocative woman ‘within.’ This will allow her to project an inner beauty that all women possess. I want her to recognize, the existence of the sexual being within, and then to feel comfortable, when revealing that being for me to capture on film.

      This is why, to photograph a woman effectively, a seduction must take place, between the woman and myself (Camera). This must be as if, we are both, enflamed by the Tango, the two of us dancing as one, her movements, mirroring my own, being consumed, by its fire.

      In the end, it does not matter, if she has a fetish for being a little naughty, or a little nice, because I want to see a woman feeling great, knowing she looks her best. Whether, she is wearing a beautiful swim suit, sexy lingerie, or a formal gown, she should be professionally coiffed and made up, then posed, to show her at her best. She should be pampered, made to feel like a princess, in order for her to look like one, on film. I try to imagine a woman, the way I would like to see her appear in an image, then, capture that fleeting moment of beauty, for eternity.

      These are my feelings, about how I want a woman to appear in one of my images.
